Step-by-Step Instructions

Crocheting the Main Band

Let's start by creating the textured foundation of your band. Chain 13.

Creating the Buttonholes

Row 1: Work 3 double crochets in the fourth chain from your hook. Work 4 double crochets in each remaining chain across to the end. You will notice the strip naturally starting to curl and spiral.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail of yarn (about 12 inches) for assembly.

Roll the spiraled strip into a neat flower shape, keeping the bottom edges aligned. Use your yarn needle and the long tail to sew through the bottom layers, securing the flower shape firmly.

Assembly and Finishing

Sew your two buttons onto the opposite end of the band from the buttonholes. Position them to line up with your buttonholes.

Attach the rolled flower securely to the band, placing it just above the buttons or on the side of the band according to your preference.
